Architectural Signage in a Library Setting – Deansgrange Public Library

October 10th, 2014

We are delighted to once again be working with DLR Architect’s Department and DLR Library Services, providing signage solutions in one of the busiest libraries in the country, Deansgrange Library, which is now featured in this month’s Architecture Ireland

At the centre of this South Dublin community, the newly refurbished library provides a fantastic public amenity and community space which was formally re- launched by An Cathaoirlech Councillor Carrie Smith and County Librarian Mairead Owens  on Wednesday 20th November 2013.

Deansgrange Library has recently undergone extensive refurbishment and has been given a new, clean, modern look, with improved access to our services and collection. Signage is one of the most important elements in creating a user-friendly library, and it must be clear, stylish, and flexible. Wayfinder Systems met all our needs in that respect. They really listened to what we wanted and came up with solutions to problems such as providing suitable signage for different types of shelving. The new signage perfectly complements our collection and the overall look is harmonious and tasteful.
